Our deepest concern is to be able to offer each child an educational experience that will make him or her a more thoughtful, insightful, and understanding human being. In selecting our students, our first consideration for admission focuses on the desire of both the parents and the child to have a Montessori education. The school accepts children into the Primary between the ages of 2 1/2 (and fully potty trained) and 5 years. This encompasses Preschool through Kindergarten. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 may enter the Elementary, which includes 1st through 6th grades.
A nonrefundable application fee of $150.00 must accompany all applications. Parents are strongly encouraged to come for a classroom observation prior to submitting an application. An interview and a skills assessment is required of all applicants and is included in the application fee. The school upholds a nondiscriminatory policy regarding a family’s race, color or creed.
Withdrawal and Dismissal
Each student is accepted for a period of 90 days. Final acceptance is contingent upon satisfactory performance during this period. Skinner reserves the right to dismiss any student.
If you plan to withdraw your child from school, the office would appreciate a two-week notice as a courtesy to those families on the waiting list. Our refund policy applies to voluntary withdrawals as well as dismissals.
