Our deepest concern is to be able to offer each child an educational experience that will make him or her a more thoughtful, insightful, and understanding human being. In selecting our students, our first consideration for admission focuses on the desire of both the parents and the child to have a Montessori education.

The school accepts children into the Primary school between the ages of 2½ and 5 years. This encompasses Preschool through Kindergarten. Children between the ages of 6 and 13 may enter the Elementary school, which includes 1st through 8th grades.

A nonrefundable application fee of $50 must accompany all applications. An interview and a skills assessment is required of all applicants and is included in the application fee. The school upholds a nondiscriminatory policy regarding a family's race, color or creed.

Withdrawal and Dismissal
Each student is accepted for a period of 30 to 90 days. Final acceptance is contingent upon satisfactory performance during this period. Skinner reserves the right to dismiss any student.

If you plan to withdraw your child from school, the office would appreciate a two-week notice as a courtesy to those families on the waiting list. Our refund policy applies to voluntary withdrawals as well as dismissals.

Refund Policy
For the first payment of the school year (that is the August 1st payment), 90% of the tuition paid is refundable up to and including the first day of school (excluding the reservation fee). 50% is refundable through the first week of school (again, excluding the reservation fee). No part of the monthly tuition is refundable after the first week of school.

For any prepaid monthly tuition payment thereafter, refunds are given on the condition that notification is submitted to the office no later than the last day of the month prior to withdrawal. No part of a month's tuition is refundable on or after the first school day of the month.

For any annual or semester tuition paid in advance, refunds will be prorated from the first day of the following month after the last day of attendance. June's tuition will be refunded if withdrawal takes place by April 1st. The balance of June's tuition will be refunded after all school charges have been paid for.
